Spearheaded by The Sonoma County Beekeepers’ Association, the Yellow Dot Project helps our honeybees by increasing the planting of honeybee-friendly plants.
How it works- it's Easy!
1. Nurseries and/or plant wholesalers decide they want to help save our honeybees.
2. The Project provides the materials and manpower needed to label plants with the yellow dots:
The dots allow buyers (and staff!) to easily locate honeybee-friendly plants, attract attention and educate people about our honeybee crisis and are waterproof stickers designed to withstand wear and weather.
3. The buyer (most often a home gardener) plants the honeybee friendly plant, increasing the habitat needed for honeybees to thrive.
